As we prepare to gather once again, I find myself reflecting on the journey that has brought each of us here. It’s been a few years since we last convened, and in that time, life has carried us through its many twists and turns. For some, this journey has been marked by profound spiritual awakenings, while for others, it has been a time of quiet reflection, growth, and transformation. Whatever your path has been, I want to welcome you back to The Porch—a space where we can all show up as our true selves, raw, vulnerable, and without filters.
I often find it amusing when my phone, upon opening Google Photos, asks me if I’d like to adjust the lighting or add a filter. My answer is always a resounding no. This environment, as it is, is absolutely divine and perfect in its rawness. And that’s the essence of what I want to share with you as we come together again. The words and images I offer here are not meant to impress or make anyone feel less than. They are shared from a place of deep love and authenticity, from a space that resonates with the idea of "holding that vibration."
Remember when The Porch first started back in 2017?
We would gather online, introducing ourselves without the need for filters, makeup, or the many things society tells us we need to feel worthy of being seen. Those gatherings were about exercising our throat chakras, seeking assistance, and connecting with others in a way that was real and meaningful. The Porch was, and still is, a safe space—a place of privacy, respect, mutual participation, and the kind of transparency that allows us to truly connect.
As we approach the next session after this 3 year hiatus, I want to share where I am now while reminding you of where I was when we first started. My journey has taken me through some challenging and unexpected detours.
I didn’t expect to find myself on a Greyhound bus in the middle of the night, heading to rural Oklahoma after a difficult situation with my sister.
What I thought would be a short stay turned into four years. During that time, I had to hold onto the vibration and frequency of what I always knew and wanted to experience, even when my 3D reality seemed to be falling apart.
It’s in this space of holding that vibration, of staying true to ourselves and our intentions, that we find our power. The longer we can hold that vibration, the more we can attract into our lives what we truly desire—people of integrity, honesty, transparency, and, most importantly, authenticity. But we must first be what we desire.
We must show up as ourselves, wild, feral, safe, and free.
As we prepare to join or rejoin, I want to acknowledge the familiar names I see coming back to visit. I’m glad you’re here, and I’m excited to reconnect with each of you. For those who are new or considering joining, I encourage you to think about what made The Porch special for those of us who were there from the beginning. This is more than just a group; it’s a community, a tribe, a place where we can all be ourselves without the pressures and conditioning that society places on us.
Social media has, in many ways, turned into a social experiment, conditioning us to believe we need filters, both literally and figuratively, to be seen and heard. But here, on The Porch, we reject that notion. We embrace our true selves, without the extras, and we connect on a deeper level—a level where energy, tone, and frequency matter more than appearance.
I invite you to visualize with me for a moment. Imagine a communal space, a village of women, where each of us has our own private space but shares communal areas. This is a space where we each take time to contribute to the whole, where we operate efficiently for the benefit of everyone. In such an environment, there is no room for filters. We show up as we are, and in doing so, we create a space that is genuine, supportive, and powerful.
As we prepare to gather, I want you to hold onto this vision. Think about how you can show up fully as yourself, without the filters that society tries to impose on us. Remember the early days of The Porch, and know that this space is still one of privacy, respect, and mutual participation. It’s a place where you can be raw, vulnerable, and honest, and in doing so, contribute to the collective energy that makes this group so special.
Before I close, I want to remind those of you who have already registered to please check your email and confirm that you have read the guidelines so that you can gain access to the group. If you haven’t registered yet, don’t wait—there are only four spaces left for the next session, which starts on Friday, September 6th, 2024. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible work of Arteicka, who reached out and recognized the need to reopen The Porch.
In closing, I encourage you all to show up as you are—fully, unapologetically, and with the intention to hold that vibration of authenticity and integrity. The world needs more of us who are willing to be real, to be transparent, and to connect on a deeper level. As we come together again, let’s remember that we are stronger together, and that by holding our vibration, we can create the world and the community we desire.
